1. Open the Samsung Mail app
2. Tap the hamburger in the top left hand corner
3. Tap on the gear icon
4. Tap on Add account
5. Select the type as Other
6. Type in your email address and password
7. Tap on Manual setup
8. Under ‘Select account type’ select IMAP account
9. Under ‘Incoming server’ set the ‘IMAP Server’ as mx1.sitehost.co.nz and ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across
   
10. Set ‘Security type’ as SSL if it isn’t by default
11. Set ‘Port’ as 993 if it isn’t by default
12. Under ‘Outgoing server’ set the ‘SMTP Server’ as mx1.sitehost.co.nz and ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across
    
13. Set ‘Security type’ as SSL if it isn’t by default
14. Set ‘Port’ as 465 if it isn’t by default
15. Ensure ‘Require authentication to send emails’ is selected, and your username and password are entered in
16. Tap Sign in
17. Select your sync options and then tap Next
18. Enter the name for the account and tap Next.
19. Open the Samsung Mail app, switch to the new account and send yourself a test email to be sure that the emails reach your inbox.

1. Open up Outlook and click on the File tab.
2. Click Add account
3. Click New
   
4. Add in your email address
5. Click Advanced options and check Let me set up my account manually

7. Under Advanced setup, select IMAP
8. Under Incoming mail server, enter in mx1.sitehost.co.nz
9. Under Incoming mail port, type in 993
10. Set Encryption method to SSL/TLS
11. Under Outgoing mail server, enter in mx1.sitehost.co.nz
12. Under Outgoing mail port, type in 465
13. Set Encryption method to SSL/TLS
14. Click Next
15. Type or paste in your email address password
16. Click Connect
17. Uncheck Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too and click Done
18. Send yourself a test email to be sure that the emails reach your inbox

Outlook bug – Inbox is empty

In some versions of Outlook, a bug can occur in which no emails or folders are displayed in the Inbox. The below instructions have been taken from this article.

1. Under the Folder tab, right of the Favorites tab, click IMAP Folders.
2. Outlook should open a dialog box with IMAP folders. There is a checkbox that says, When displaying hierarchy in outlook, show only the subscribed folders. The checkbox should be unchecked/unselected.
3. Click OK.
4. Navigate back to the Home tab, and then press the send/receive button, which should immediately start downloading the inbox files and folders.

1. Navigate to the Settings app.
2. Tap on Mail
3. Tap on Accounts
4. Tap on Add Account
   
5. Tap on Other.
6. Tap on Add Mail Account.
7. Enter your name, email address, and password, then tap on Next.
8. Ensure the IMAP tab up the top is selected.
9. Under Incoming mail server enter mx1.sitehost.co.nz as the Host Name. ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across.
10. Under Incoming mail server enter your full email address as the Username. Enter your password.
11. Under Outgoing mail server enter mx1.sitehost.co.nz as the Host Name. ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across.
12. Under Outgoing mail server enter your full email address as the Username. Enter your password.
13. Tap Next.
14. Ensure the Mail box is green, then tap on Save.
15. Open up the Mail app, and send yourself a test email to be sure that the emails reach your inbox.
16. Optional steps below – if you wish to set the ‘Sent’ folder
17. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts. You should see the list of email accounts on your device. Tap on the newly created account.
18. Tap on Account or the email address.
19. Scroll to the bottom and tap on Advanced.
20. There will be a list of folders under Mailbox behaviours. Tap on Sent mailbox.
21. To ensure sent messages are stored in the correct folder, select Sent, which will be in the list under On the server.
22. Tap on Advanced to go back, and repeat this process for:
    • Drafts Mailbox (select Drafts which is under On the server)
    • Deleted Mailbox (select Trash which is under On the server)

1. Open Mac Mail and click on the Mail menu item, then click on Preferences.
2. Click on the Accounts tab, then click the + icon.
3. Select Other Mail Account and click Continue.
4. Enter your name, email address, and password. Click Sign in.
5. Ensure the Account Type is set to IMAP
6. Enter the Incoming Mail Server as mx1.sitehost.co.nz and ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across
7. Enter the Outgoing Mail Server as mx1.sitehost.co.nz and ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across
8. Click Sign in.
9. Select the apps you wish to use with the account, ensuring Mail is selected (it should be by default), then click Done.
10. Send yourself a test email to be sure that the emails reach your inbox.
11. Optional steps below – if you wish to set the ‘Sent’ folder
12. Open Mac Mail and click on the Mail menu item, then click on Preferences.
13. Click on the Accounts tab
14. Click on the account you wish to edit
15. Go to the Mailbox Behaviours tab
16. Under Sent Mailbox select a folder from the dropdown list, there should be one labeled as ‘Sent’ which you can select.
17. Optionally you can repeat this step for the Drafts, Junk, and Bin folders.

1. From the Tools menu bar button, select Account Settings. This may be under the File tab.
   
2. Click New
   
3. Enter your name, email address, and password (the latter two which will be provided by us). Ensure the Manually configure server settings… checkbox is checked. Click Next.
   
4. Select Internet E-Mail. Click Next.
   
5. Set Account type to be IMAP from the drop down box.
6. Set the Incoming mail server to imap.webhost.co.nz
7. Set the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) to smtp.webhost.co.nz
8. Enter the username (your full email address) and password of your account.
   
9. Click More Settings ….
10. Navigate to the Outgoing Server tab.
11. Check the box next to My outgoing server requires authentication.
12. Select the radio button next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
    
13. Navigate to the Advanced tab.
14. Under the Outgoing Server (SMTP) heading, change Use the following type of encrypted connection: to TLS
15. Change Outgoing server (SMTP): to 587
16. Click OK.
    
17. Click Test Account Settings …, if the tasks are completed successfully, all details have been entered correctly, otherwise check the values you have entered are correct.
    
18. Click Next, then Finish.
19. From the Tools menu bar button, select Account Settings. This may be under the File tab.
20. Double click on the newly created email account from the list.
21. Click on the More settings … button.
22. Click on the Sent Items tab.
23. Ensure the Save sent items in the following folder on the server: radio button is selected.
24. Ensure the Sent folder is selected. This should be under Inbox as per the below screenshot, but may not be depending on computer configuration.
    
25. Navigate to the Deleted Items tab.
26. Ensure the Move deleted items in the following folder on the server: radio button is selected.
27. Ensure the Trash folder is selected. This should be under Inbox, but may not be depending on computer configuration.
28. Click OK, then Next, then Finish.

Outlook 2013 bug – Inbox is empty

5. Under Incoming server, ensure the Protocol is IMAP
6. Under Hostname, enter in mx1.sitehost.co.nz
7. Set the Port to 993
8. Set Connection security to SSL/TLS
9. Set Authentication method to Normal password
10. Under Outgoing server set the hostname as mx1.sitehost.co.nz
11. Set the Port to 465
12. Set Connection security to SSL/TLS
13. Set Authentication method to Normal password
14. Click on the Re-test button
15. Click Done
16. Once this has verified, send yourself a test email to be sure that the emails reach your inbox.
