Below is a video outlining how to set up and access your emails using the Android Gmail app, which you can also view here. Below this video are written instructions.

  1. Open the Gmail app
  2. Tap the circle icon in the top right hand corner
  3. Tap on Add another account
  4. Select the type as Other
  5. Type in your email address
  6. Tap on Manual setup
  7. Under ‘What type of account is this?’ select Personal (IMAP)
  8. Type in your password
  9. Tap Next
  10. Under ‘Incoming server settings’ set the ‘Server’ as mx1.sitehost.co.nz and ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across
  11. Tap Next
  12. Under ‘Outgoing server settings’ set the ‘SMTP Server’ as mx1.sitehost.co.nz and ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across
  13. Ensure ‘Require sign-in’ is selected, and ensure your username and password are entered in
  14. Tap Next
  15. Select your sync options and then tap Next
  16. Enter the name for the account and tap Next.
  17. Open the Gmail app, switch to the account and send yourself a test email to be sure that the emails reach your inbox.
