Below is a video outlining how to set up and access your emails using the Samsung Mail app, which you can also view here. Below this video are written instructions.
- Open the Samsung Mail app
- Tap the hamburger in the top left hand corner
- Tap on the gear icon
- Tap on Add account
- Select the type as Other
- Type in your email address and password
- Tap on Manual setup
- Under ‘Select account type’ select IMAP account
- Under ‘Incoming server’ set the ‘IMAP Server’ as mx1.sitehost.co.nz and ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across
- Set ‘Security type’ as SSL if it isn’t by default
- Set ‘Port’ as 993 if it isn’t by default
- Under ‘Outgoing server’ set the ‘SMTP Server’ as mx1.sitehost.co.nz and ensure no empty spaces or lines are copied across
- Set ‘Security type’ as SSL if it isn’t by default
- Set ‘Port’ as 465 if it isn’t by default
- Ensure ‘Require authentication to send emails’ is selected, and your username and password are entered in
- Tap Sign in
- Select your sync options and then tap Next
- Enter the name for the account and tap Next.
- Open the Samsung Mail app, switch to the new account and send yourself a test email to be sure that the emails reach your inbox.
