Setting up Android Gmail App

Navigate to your android phone’s settings.

  1. In your phone’s settings, under the Personal heading, tap on Accounts.
  2. Tap Add account.
  3. Select Personal (IMAP).
  4. Enter your email address and tap on Manual Setup.
  5. When asked what type of account this is, tap Personal (IMAP).
  6. Enter your password (this has been provided to you).
  7. In the Incoming server settings section, set the Username to your full email address.
  8. In the Incoming server settings section, set the Server to imap.webhost.co.nz
  9. In the Incoming server settings section, set the Port to 143
  10. In the Incoming server settings section, set the Security type to STARTLS

  11. In the Outgoing server settings section, set the Server to smtp.webhost.co.nz
  12. In the Outgoing server settings section, set the Port to 587
  13. In the Outgoing server settings section, set the Security type to STARTLS. Ensure the Require sign-in checkbox is checked.
  14. In the Outgoing server settings section, set the Username to your full email address.
  15. Choose your Sync settings and tap Next.
  16. Enter the names for the account and tap Next.
  17. Open the Gmail app to find your account set up.
